Escape to the Country

It's a great time of year to escape to the country. Sunrises over misty hollows or frosty sharp starts followed by warm sunshine. Walking or horse riding at this time of year is special. You even have free food en route - blackberries and damsons. Grab a few days mid week or a long weekend. We've plenty of pubs you can walk to for a leisurely lunch or head into Ludlow to enjoy some market shopping and history. An update on the farm - We've finished combining and all the corn is safely under cover. It's been a good year with great yields so the hard work has paid off. Now it's time to start the job of drilling next years crop. Our horses are all fine and enjoying the cooler conditions. We've had a record number of visitors with horses this year as word spreads about the wonderful out riding here. At the moment we have 11 horses here on equine B&B with their owners enjoying some great riding, relaxing, BBQ'ing and reclining in the Jacuzzi Hot Tub. Soon it will be half term and then the wonderful winter when you get to snuggle up by the log burner in Meal House and watch old movies on the big TV or just PARTY!

Summer Time

6th August 2019

Summer Holidays are here! We're busy ensuring everyone is having the best Summer holidays ever with the whole of South Shropshire to explore on foot, bike, horse or car. The weather has on the whole been great and everything is looking amazing this time. Simple walks on The Brown Clee reward you with fabulous views and acres of room for the children to run and play in. Who needs to spend lots of money entertaining the family when it's free on your door step here. Relax in our Jacuzzi Hot Tub and listen to the bird song by day or star gaze by night. No noise or light pollution here! Bring your pets with you - we welcome dogs and of course horses with a reputation of many years worth of experience helping equine owners make the most of their riding time here. Route maps and a farm to access along with bridleways and open hill side to enjoy. Local pubs with great real ale and local cider too only 2 miles away!

Spring Lambs

1st April 2019

Lambing time in beautiful Spring sunshine! It's been a blast up til now with great conditions to turn our new arrivals out on to fresh grass. The Curlews that nested last year and successfully raised 4 chicks are back. We're watching them to see if they choose the same spot, in the same field and will do what we did last year, put electric fencing around the area to stop Badgers and Foxes eating the eggs. We'll keep our fingers crossed and update you on their progress. We have our first equine visitors this week who have had to dodge the council laying super smart tarmac everywhere. We're going to be very posh in the Corvedale you know! Brexit is driving everyone nuts so we suggest you pack your bags and hide out here in our little corner of rural South Shropshire. Light the fire in Meal House and turn off those phones to totally relax - at least for a day or two. Give us a ring or email and come see Spring erupting in little Tugford.

Spring

Spring is on it's way and although we are only in March it feels more like April with April showers happening today. We had a busy half term with visitors and now we are Spring Cleaning ready for our busier time ahead. Forget 'Brexit' and have something to look forward to - book a short break during March or a weekend getaway and come stay in the peace and quiet of beautiful rural South Shropshire. We have walks from the doorstep, quiet country lanes, wild landscapes and warm inviting accommodation. A Jacuzzi Hot Tub and a roaring open fire/log burner in Meal House. New Year

3rd January 2019

Well where has the year gone! Christmas was busy and New Year too. Everyone feels a little down in the dumps during January but it's the best time to plan ahead and book those weekends with families or arrange a girls weekend. Our best rates of the year are in January and February so make the most of it and come along to stay with us. The log burner in Meal House will welcome you back from a days walking on The Brown Clee Hill and later you can relax in the Jacuzzi Hot Tub. What could sound better than that!
