Today however it is fixed. One part had to come from Italy but now all is as it should be. Everyone is on stand by and I have stocked up on food for lots of sandwiches - no time to stop to eat, it's eating on the go time.
The puppies are just over 8 weeks old and have straight A's in tripping up. I have to run from the kennel to the garden with all seven black babies following me. Hours can pass whilst you play with them!
Widget and Big Bill have accepted that they are now part of Tugford Life and since they are already bigger than them have no choice really.
Roy and Ben, my big hunter horses are now fitter and Philip and I took them Autumn Trailing yesterday morning. This meant getting up at 4.50am to be at the Ludlow Hunt Kennels for 6 am. It was a beautiful morning and the mist lay low in the valleys until the sun came up and burned it away. Early mornings are just wonderful if you can make the effort.
It's the weekend of the Ludlow Food Festival so we are fully booked and it looks like it might be a record breaker for Ludlow as the sun shines at last.
Blog - the latest from Tugford Farm Accommodation in Shropshire...
Lambing time in beautiful Spring sunshine! It's been a blast up til now with great conditions to turn our new arrivals out on to fresh grass. The Curlews that nested last year and successfully raised 4 chicks are back. We're watching them to see if they choose the same spot, in the same field and will do what we did last year, put electric fencing around the area to stop Badgers and Foxes eating the eggs. We'll keep our fingers crossed and update you on their progress. We have our first equine visitors this week who have had to dodge the council laying super smart tarmac everywhere. We're going to be very posh in the Corvedale you know! Brexit is driving everyone nuts so we suggest you pack your bags and hide out here in our little corner of rural South Shropshire. Light the fire in Meal House and turn off those phones to totally relax - at least for a day or two. Give us a ring or email and come see Spring erupting in little Tugford.
