Sunny summer days

The grain store is empty and being cleaned out for the next harvest of corn and beans. Hedges are being trimmed now the birds have finished nesting and the combine is being serviced ready for the next few weeks of harvesting.

The puppies are growing so quickly and one managed to escape from the shed at 2.30 this morning. Yes it was me that had to get up and put my wellies on with my dressing gown to go and put said puppy back in. My word they can make some noise when they want to! Funny though that Wyn never woke until I was getting back into bed!

It's wedding fever this weekend as our long term friends daughter Jessica gets married to the gorgeous Tom. Most of the family are staying with us in Meal House, Brookside Cottage and the B&B rooms. Numbers have gradually grown through the week and we are now at full to bursting point. Taxis are booked for tomorrow and everyone is looking forward to a celebration weekend.

Blog - the latest from Tugford Farm Accommodation in Shropshire...

Lambing time in beautiful Spring sunshine! It's been a blast up til now with great conditions to turn our new arrivals out on to fresh grass. The Curlews that nested last year and successfully raised 4 chicks are back. We're watching them to see if they choose the same spot, in the same field and will do what we did last year, put electric fencing around the area to stop Badgers and Foxes eating the eggs. We'll keep our fingers crossed and update you on their progress. We have our first equine visitors this week who have had to dodge the council laying super smart tarmac everywhere. We're going to be very posh in the Corvedale you know! Brexit is driving everyone nuts so we suggest you pack your bags and hide out here in our little corner of rural South Shropshire. Light the fire in Meal House and turn off those phones to totally relax - at least for a day or two. Give us a ring or email and come see Spring erupting in little Tugford.
